Torqsense - E300 Rotary Torque Transducer

Each torque transducer contains an embedded non-volatile memory chip which stores data on parameters, calibration etc., which is passed to a stand alone Transducer Display Interface and then if required to a host PC operatingTorqview virtual instrumentation display software.  This provides the user with a very cost-effective solution to measuring, recording and displaying data from a wide variety of applications.

Virtual Instrumentation Display System
The virtual instrumentation display software works in conjunction with the E302, E202 and E102 transducer display interfaces.

Torqsense E300RWT Transducers are available in 7 sizes and can measure torque from 100nNm up to 10,000 nM.  Each transducer should be used in conjunction with an E301/2 Transducer Interface.

Torqsense transducers are also suitable for OEM applications such as:

·Viscosity & Consistency Monitoring and Measurement

 ·Variable Speed Drive Systems

 ·Motor & Machinery Control
 ·Automotive and Aerospace
 ·Condition Monitoring

The E-Series Optical Rotary Torque Transducer (ORT) provides an ideal means for precise dynamic measurement of rotary and static torque from 10mNm to 10,000Nm.

Each E200 ORT transducer should be used in conjunction with an E201 or E202 Transducer Interface.

E Series Transducers are also compatible with the D Series Instrumentation.

An extensively developed measurement principle is used, in which the intensity of light beams is modulated by the applied torque.  Light intensity is measured by means of photovoltaic detectors, and the electrical output is used to provide precise indication of the torque transmitted by the shaft.

The use of this technique results in a transducer having fast mechanical and electrical response, low inertia, and complete freedom from brushes or complex electronics.  The absence of brush gear allows high-speed operation with a continuous rating of up to 20,000 RPM standard, and 30,000-RPM high speed on the smaller sizes.  The torque shaft is of low compliance – ½° maximum torsion deflection on the smaller transducers, and ¼° maximum on the larger transducers, at full-scale deflection.  The lamps providing the light source are selected to ensure long life and high stability with the light intensity automatically controlled within the transducer body by a monitor cell.

The E-Series Strain Gauge Base-Mounted Transducer has a substantial easily mounted body, which houses the shaft and strain gauge assembly.  The shaft is mounted on its outer end in a ball race, ensuring accurate torque simple adapters which can be supplied with standard square dimensions, or machined to suit specific applications.

Each E100 SBT Transducer should be used in conjunction with an E101 or E102 Transducer Interface.

The E-Series Strain Gauge In-Line Transducer is ruggedised for industrial applications with a synthetic rubber boot to protect the transducer from abnormal shocks.  An In-line cable connector is fitted for safety.

The transducer is ideal for measurement of static torque from 0.1Nm to 5000 Nm.

Each E100 SIT Transducer should be used in conjunction with an E101 or E102 Transducer Interface.
