JEWELL
"Standards"


JEWELL accelerometers are extremely sensitive sensors that measure acceleration with virtually infinite resolution. Most designs are rugged enough to withstand severe shock and vibration -- while others include additional ruggedness to make them "all weather" instruments.

JEWELL units are fully self-contained. They connect to a DC power source and a readout or control device for a complete operating system. The output is a high-level DC signal proportional to the applied acceleration. They respond to changes in acceleration as small as 1mG. Hysteresis less than 0.0005% of full range output and vibration rectification less than 5mg/g2 are available.

LCM Series

The JEWELL LCM accelerometer is a general-purpose acceleration sensor for industrial, commercial and aerospace applications. Engineered with micromachined components the LCM offers an attractive price/performance ratio. This 0.5G to 5G device meets the demanding needs of applications requiring 500G shock resistance and up to 500Hz bandwidth.

LCA-100 Series

LCA-100 Series*


The JEWELL LCA-100 Series accelerometer is a 0.5G to 10G-range sensing pivot and jewel device that meets the demands of many applications. Suspension technology and bandwidths of 60Hz to 250Hz make the LCA-100 popular for a variety of military, commercial and aerospace sensing applications. A wide range of options and our application engineering expertise are used to design modified versions of the LCA-100 rounding out this unit’s general appeal.

 

LSM Series

LSM Series*


If space is a concern, the JEWELL LSM Series is the accelerometer solution for you. The LSM offers equivalent features to the LCA in a smaller package, approximately a 1" (25.4 mm) cube. Its wide range and bandwidth meet the demanding needs of a variety of aerospace applications.

LSXH Series

LSXH Series


The JEWELL LSXH is the most rugged of all of our accelerometers. The JEWELL LSXH is a compact high-performance, high-accuracy accelerometer with a range of 0.017G to 10G full scale. Its small size, ruggedness and high-accuracy levels meet the stringent requirements in many military and commercial applications. Its internal electronics feature a single-ended self-test and a 2-pole output noise suppression filter.

 

Inclinometers

JEWELL inclinometers are extremely sensitive sensors that measure horizontal angle or vertical deviation with virtually infinite resolution. Most designs are rugged enough to withstand severe shock and vibration -- while others include additional ruggedness to make them "all weather" instruments.

JEWELL units are fully self-contained (closed loop system). They connect to a DC power source and a readout or control device for a complete operating system. The high-level DC output signal is proportional to the sine of the angle of tilt from as little as +/–1° full range to +/–90° full range. They respond to changes of slope as small as 0.1 second of arc. Fluid filled units have hystersis less that 0.0005% of full range output, and vibration rectification is less than 10 arc seconds/g2.

 
LCF Series

LCF-196 Series*


The JEWELL LCF-196 Series meets the needs of high accuracy applications where high levels of shock and vibration are present. The LCF employs a fluid damped torsion flexure suspension that attenuates input energy to provide repeatability at low frequencies. The LCF-196 is a two-axis unit housed in a 22mm diameter cylindrical package.

LCF 2000/3000*

The JEWELL LCF 2000 / 3000 Series is a two or three axis version of the rugged, high accuracy LCF Series. It is available with a wide range of options including single ended input power, internal temperature sensor and 4-20mA output.

The JEWELL LCI Series meets the needs of high accuracy applications with low shock and vibration such as those found in laboratories. The LCI employs a torsion flexure suspension that offers superior repeatability and low hysteresis at low frequencies.

LCI-360*
The JEWELL LCI-360 is a biaxial unit that meets the needs of high accuracy applications with low shock and vibration. The LCI employs a torsion flexure suspension that offers superior repeatability and low hysteresis at low frequencies.

 

LSO Series

LSO Series*
The JEWELL LSO Series is our most rugged general-purpose inclinometer. Our JEWELL LSO inertial sensors meet the needs of a variety of commercial and industrial applications. They offer precise readings with high outputs at lower range frequencies. We machine each housing from solid aluminum making the LSO ideal for "all weather" applications.

 

LSR Series

LSR Series*
The JEWELL LSR Series meets the needs of applications with space constraints. The compact, cylindrical shape and the "stacking" feature of the LSR facilitate the use of several inclinometers when multi-axis measurement is required. The LSR offers the same precise readings with high outputs at lower range frequencies as our LSO Series.

AIR-1000 Series

AIR-1000 Series*
 

The JEWELL AIR-1000 Series is a microprocessor based panel meter designed to take the output from Jewell's gravity referenced inclinometers and display it as an angle. The compact unit provides the +/-15VDC sensor excitation,

conditions the inclinometer output and displays the angle down to 0.001 degrees. An RS232 output is provided for interfacing to a computer, PLC or printer. Bezel and scratch resistant lenses are sealed to meet requirements of NEMA 4 and a gasket is supplied to seal the unit to a panel.
